While the twists and turns of Israeli politics are frequently the subject of mainstream media coverage, the intricacies and dynamics of Palestinian political affairs are largely overlooked. But with Palestinian President Abbas’ approval ratings in freefall following his highly unpopular decision to postpone this year’s legislative and presidential elections, the volatile Palestinian political arena demands our much greater attention.
It was against this backdrop, on 20 October 20221, an in-depth virtual discussion of Palestinian politics and society was organized by Partners for Progressive Israel with an an expert panel:
- Dr. Khalil Shikaki, Director of the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research
- Dr. Khalil E. Jahshan, Executive Director of the Arab Center Washington DC
- Dr. Diana B. Greenwald (moderator), Assistant Professor of Political Science at the City College of New York
This webinar was the latest installment in our “Conversations with Israel & Palestine” series. The moderated discussion followed by Q&A with the Zoom audience.
