Dialogue Meeting: Stories of Bereavement and Hope
Gili Meisler is Israeli. Moira Jilani is Palestinian. Both have lost a loved one to the conflict in Israel and Palestine—Gili’s brother was killed in 1973, and Moira’s husband was killed in 2010. But, despite the pain of bereavement, both have chosen to seek peace and reconciliation with the “other side,” rather than revenge. In this Dialogue Meeting (18 June 2020), Gili and Moira shared their stories of bereavement and hope, followed by a questions and answers session. This dialogue was moderated by Partners for Progressive Israel board member, Gili Getz.
